Stok-kangri Expedition

KUARIN PASS TREK - 9 DAYS TREKKING TOUR

Day 01:                 Arrive in Delhi


Met on arrival at Delhi International airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay

Day 02:                 Delhi– Haridwar (Train)


In the morning board Dehradun Shatabdi train for Haridwar at 06:55 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar by 11:20 hrs. On arrival small Haridwar check in at hotel

Haridwar is the gateway to the four pilgrimages of Uttaranchal. It's also starting point on the journey to the sacred sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna Rivers. According to legend, Prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to Sage Kapila's curse. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth from Lord Shiva's locks and its bountiful water revived the sons of King Sagara. In the tradition of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for the salvation of their ancestors. [Enquiry Now]



The holy city of Haridwar is home to some of the most sacred Hindu rituals. Round the year, devotees from all over the country flock here in their thousands to perform "Poojas" or prayers. Day 03:                 Haridwar– Joshimath (245 Kms, 08 hours)


After an early breakfast drive to Joshimath via Devprayag. On the way visit Dev prayag where Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet. From here the holy river Ganges started. Arrival at Joshimath by evening, check into the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay.

Joshimath: The religious centre, established by Adi Shankaracharya, which he called Jyotirmath, later came to be known as Joshimath. Among the sites of interest are the temples of Nav Durga and Narsingh. Apart from its obvious religious importance, Joshimath is known for its scenic beauty.

Day 04: Joshimath – Tali (3310 Meter) – 06 Hours trek


One can reach the ski slopes of Auli in a cable car (2750m). From Auli one gets to see a distinct outline of Nanda Devi at the start of the sanctuary.



 The walk takes one through the forests of oak and rhododendron to reach meadows of Gorson. From here the trail descends straight down into the forest. Camp will be located by a small water body at Tali by the day and the stay will be in a camp at night [Enquiry Now]

Day 05:                 Tali– Khulara (3395 Meter) Via kuarin Pass (06 hours trek)


Take an upward trail to the ridge above Tali where the cairns mark the tracks. Just below the pass, the trail leads through a large meadow exhibiting spectacular views of the Himalayas. North of Joshimath is the Chaukhamba range, Nilkanth (6596m) and Narayan Parbat (5965m), while Mana peak (7272m), Kamet (7756m) and Abi Gamin (7355m) extend to the Tibetan border.

In the middle foreground, the main Himalayan chain in the vicinity of the Bhyundar valley and Hem Kund includes Nilgiri Parbat (6474m), Rataban (6166m), Ghori Parbat (6708m) and Hathi Parbat (6727m). Dunagairi (7066m) dominates the peaks to the north of the Nanda Devi

Day 06:                 Khulara


Have an easy start today, post breakfast relax or roam around the camp. The more enthusiastic go-getter have the option of walking up 2 hours towards the peak of Pangarchulla to glimpse the beautiful sunrise on the snow capped peaks. Day 07:                 Khulara– Tapovan (04 Hours trek) – Pipalkoti (Drive 60 Kms)


The last day of the climb is all the way down to the Tapovan. It takes about 3 hours by road from Khulara-Tapovam to the comforts of the hotel in Pipalkoti. [Enquiry Now]

Day 08:                 Pipalkoti– Haridwar - Delhi


After breakfast morning drive to Haridwar on the way visit Rudraprayag where river Mandakini and Alaknanda meet.

On arrival transfer to railway station to catch Dehradun Shatabdi train for Delhi at 18:05 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs
